Yes. Originally, we used sandbags or cinder blocks, sometimes now gym weights are used. Training starts with pulling around a tire.
Bandit has never competed, but my AKC champion, back in the 1970s, really loved doing it. Bandit just pulls around our racing sled when we have enough snow here.
