Yes, they are Steller's Jays. Around here they are so common that they're practically feathered flying rats, except a lot noisier, and they sing worse than I do.

When moving photos to my storage drive, I found a bunch of earlier ones that hadn't been rated, so I added a bunch of earlier ones, including some of Mombird, who has the characteristic Steller's Jay crest.


As of this morning, I'm an empty nester. The last week in photos.
