Hi John -

There's an HDR layer in the mix in that image, just to open up the shadows a bit. I almost always run things through Photomatix with the settings dialed back just enough to open up the shadows and enhance local contrast a little. That is usually one of the first layers that I blend into the image.

Comments appreciated.

Spent a couple days in Chicago and decide to travel light and took only
the Q7 and lenses. Much easier to tote around the Q and 4 lenses than
the K1 and a single lense (or even the K3). Q7 image quality, even in
low light, is not bad at all IMO.
