It might be an artifact caused by whatever happened to your telephone
lines. The traffic that would have gone across that broken cable is
having to find another route.

We went for redwoods to Taylorville, as Muir Woods was so crowded, it
being a public holiday, that parking was impossible. Many, many
thanks to Larry once more for going so far to show us one of the great
trees.
