I know that some enthusiasts-photographers (including some PDMLers) like photographing with a film camera. In some way it is similar to listening to vinyl LPs, and doing that through the lamp amplifiers, etc...

I am surprised that "Instax" from Fujifilm receives considerable number of buyers. It's a sort of a "Polaroid" of 20-teens:

I think that the main reason for that is the instant gratification in an easily form that people get from this camera. (Many users of digital cameras, or phones these days, never print any photos, but just look at them on the back screen of the camera or on the phone.) I suspect that some people might do it for nostalgic reasons (cf. Polaroid). And, I am guessing, some younger users might be finding it "hip".

I find this rather interesting that in the digital era, some people opt for non-digital. (I think it is still a small "niche".)
