I'm feeling pretty good about my computers right now. I finally have a front panel with 4 *accessible* USB ports on this computer; the one I use for goofing off on the internet.
Last week I took my laptop in and had it serviced. They replaced a bad memory stick that was causing occasional BSODs, so I'm ready to travel (as soon as I figure out where I want to go & how to take the cat along). And I think I have finally figured out why my Photoshop computer was running so slow. The video adapter built into the motherboard was still active even though I installed a dedicated video card (Nvidia GeForce GT 620). As soon as I disabled the Intel adapter on the motherboard, Photoshop speeded up dramatically. I think that may be something left over from the disaster of trying to install Windows 10. I've made some progress on house cleaning & I think I'll soon have room to set my Mac Mini up so I can start recording music. But now my car has started making a funny noise. So far it's intermittent & I haven't detected a pattern. The noise sounds like when you're drinking a smoothie through a straw & get to the bottom and are trying to slurp up that last little bit. Anyway, HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND to those for whom this weekend is a holiday. The rest of you, I just hope you have a nice, enjoyable weekend. -- Science - Questions we may never find answers for.
