It was a dark and rainy night. I was out walking the dog before going to bed. I was carrying a flashlight to keep an eye on Bandit and to watch where I stepped. Suddenly, on the bricks of the front walk, I encountered a fairly large toad. He accommodated me by waiting there while I grabbed my camera. Although I could not really see him, my camera was able to focus somewhat in the dark, and my built-in flash illuminated him enough to grab a quick image.
