Thanks Igor. The b&w ones are in a high-ish contrast Lightroom preset, by 
choice. There is detail in some of the shadows if you squint enough. 

The jogger had the sun behind her, in contrasty light. The picture's not good 
enough to spend much time trying to lift the shadows.
