On 25/9/17, mike wilson, discombobulated, unleashed:

Yes of course Mike. This assumes that there is a port on the camera somewhere
to plug in. There isn't.

The only way to get power into the camera is via the pins located at the far
end of the battery chamber. These pins contact either A) a battery or B) a
plastic cradle that holds 4x AA batteries (optional extra, not supplied with
camera) or C) an AC adapter hard-wired to a dummy-battery shaped mech that goes
into the battery compartment (optional extra, not supplied with camera).

I investigated if the micro-USB port would take power as well (USB 5 volt) but
it doesn't.

Not supplying a separate and foolproof method of supplying power other than via
the battery bay isa deal-breaker for me.
