Thanks, Mark. Very helpful. I took a look at your photos from the 2007 weekend. Now I remember where I was made apprehensive about hiking Grandfather Mountain. As it was, I hooked up with a couple at the trailhead who’d done it before—Bance and Judy Matheson--and ended up having a ball. We went up the Daniel Boone Scout Trail from the Boone Fork Parking Area on the Parkway to Callaway Peak and beyond, just short of Attic Window.
