The "bike" is situated near the top of Greenhow Hill overlooking Coldstones Quarry. The tyres are obviously rejects from an earthmoving vehicle.

A couple of years a go, the Tour de France started in Yorkshire.  Yellow
bicycles sprang up everywhere in the county, particularly en route.  This
artefact will be one of them. It's the most enthusiasm Yorkshire has shown for
anything since the dissolution and looting of the monastries.
