It might have been worth taking some photos where you lean a little harder on the ISO. Some of my best shots involved pushing to 10,000 or beyond. On cool shots where I have time for the shot, but not many opportunities for shots like that, I’ll try different strategies, preserve ISO, preserve DoF etc. My one nit was that it might have been nice if you could have angled the plane of focus such that both the eye and the wings were in focus, (or rather that the eye was in a little better focus) but that would have probably meant not aligning the plane of focus with the wing, so that might not have even worked as well. I still think that it’s a great shot, I do wish that the picture were larger, particularly when I want to give a good critique of a photo. > > Dan > > Dan Matyola > http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/danieljmatyola > > On Tue, Nov 14, 2017 at 11:42 PM, Jack Davis <[email protected]> wrote: > >> >> >> Like it, Dan, but DoF is a bit shallow. >> I don't doubt that was something you were aware of. >> >> J >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Daniel J.
