Dan, not boring at all. I collected butterflies in Rhodesia, Mozambique & SA
for many years. I donated my extensive collection to the museum in Salisbury
when we left for SA in 1976. They have a photographic project going here
(probably there too?) which enables continuous evaluation of distributions &
numbers. Hundreds of people involved. Some even take the trouble to go to
very remote locations (much like the birders). Areas have even been fenced
off (& developments stopped) to ensure the survival of rare localised
species. I see they are doing great things with the threatened Monarch
migration over there.

Subject: PESO: Pupae
I am continuing my boring obsession with butterflies and their larval and
pupal forms. These are my most recent efforts, perhaps a bit clearer than
some of the previous ones:

K-5 IIs, FA 100 mm Macro F 2.8
For those who have the fortitude to stomach viewing two more, comments will
be appreciated.
