Hi Dan,
It's a very nice moment and combination of poses.
However, the dark clothing of the two women gets lost in the dark
background. As a result, these ladies have a "ghosty" appearance.
It might be possible to enhance this at the state of conversion to B&W, by
boosting the color channel that is different in those dresses from the
background, to create some contrast.
I think, if you can "separate" them from the background, the photo will be
stronger.
I am not sure, - but probably "presence" slider in LR (or "unsharp" in PS)
would help creating this separation, but you might try...
