From my analysis, the only active "payload" of the message I
received is
tracking of which e-mail addresses are working via an image with a
unique remote link (which could be broken).
Using this opportunity, let me recommend: - in general, in
Thunderbird, you want to keep Tools->Options-> (tab) Privacy ->
"Allow remote content in messages" NOT check-marked. This is the
default value, and you do not want to change that to avoid
automatic confirmation of the validity of your e-mail address for
spammers. (Other modern e-mail programs have a similar setting.)
