Looks very similar to the Koels that arrive here in spring from south-east Asia
and start their infuriating ko-el ko-el call from about 4am.  It's amazing how
far that call travels on an otherwise quiet spring/summer morning.  Apparently
the call is designed to upset other birds so that they leave their nests while
the female Koel moves in to lay her eggs.

I think yours is a different species but you'd need to be an expert to tell them
apart.
