London has too. The difference between it and the Chinese schemes is that with the official schemes you have to use a docking station, whereas with the Chinese schemes there are no docking stations. You use an app to find your nearest bike, use the app to unlock the bike, and you can then leave the locked bike anywhere. Locking and unlocking it starts and ends the hire period.
