Okay, but there is a test over at PentaxForums that seems to show similar

That reviewer concluded that the K1II images looked better. That's a judgement
call. What I've seen tells me that I should stick with my K-1. If anyone else
prefers the II, that's fine.

What seems to be most telling about the Forums Neurotica test is that
they can actually run a pretty decent tests, and that the K1II preserves
detail at higher ISOs that is lost in noise with the K1. At ISO 100 to
400, the images are pretty much a wash. Interestingly at ISO 800 & 1600,
the K1II noise reduction does appear to harm really fine detail compared
to the K1, but then at 1600 ISO and higher, the advantage is back to the
newer camera.
If you spend a lot of time shooting ISO 800-1600, the K1II might not be
the droid you are looking for if you already have a K1, but if you spend
most of your time shooting below that or above, then it might be
worthwhile.
Especially at higher ISO values, the new camera looks quite a bit better.
