I had a lot of trouble getting much to work at lunch time yesterday, wonder if
it was related in some way.

We just had fibre installed last week. It was like the Monty Python gas cooker
sketch. We were promised a one-day installation (normally there's a planning
session followed by an installation a week or so later) but it ended up taking
5 weeks due to screwups and faults at their end.

Having said that I think the broadband situation in this country is pretty
good. I think Spark (formerly Telecom) have a vested interest in getting
everyone off the copper network.

Cheers,
Dave
