The last time I bought a USB hub was in 2015; I'm sure there are others out
there now…

That one is a powered 4-port USB3 hub with a big "+P" logo in the middle of its
face that I purchased from Fry's Electronics when I upgraded my hard drive
enclosures to USB3. It's been working perfectly since I got it … No idea what
the make is anymore.

These are electronics commodity items. Most are impossible to tell from one
another, in performance or whatever. I wouldn't worry about it all that much.
I've never had this kind of item from Belkin fail me either … the powered
7-port USB 2 hub I bought back in 2008 or 2009 is still in use and still
working perfectly too. :-)

That is, I think, the important thing: For serious use, buy a USB hubs that has
its own power supply and doesn't draw power from the USB port on the computer.

No matter where you go, there you are.
