The expression on Betsy's face is like "can we talk?"

I'm in the Betsy no hood camp - although I know I shoudl use the hood ;-)  I keep knocking the hood off bumping into things

Thanks Ann! I appreciate your comments.

Backstory(s) on the woman-with-bird shot…

1. Betsy and her husband Mark were our travel companions for this Ecuador +
Peru adventure. Betsy is one of those who always uses a polarizer and seldom
uses a lens hood because it interferes with access to the polarizer. I am one
of those that always uses a lens hood and seldom use a polarizer, even though I
know I should be doing that. I chide her about the lens hood, she chides me
about the polarizer.

2. Our naturalist/guide that morning in the Galapagos shoots with a Canon with
a long lens of some sort (probably a 70-200) with lens hood. He knows that the
Galapagos Flycatchers love seeing their reflections and have learned that if
they perch on the bottom edge of a lens hood, they can see themselves reflected
in the lens. He held up his camera as though to take a photo, the birds came.
Betsy has several shots of me with a bird perched on the front of my 70-200
lens hood. I have several shots of the bird on Betsy’s lens. I think the bird
is chiding Betsy for not having a hood to sit on so that it can see its
reflection.

got to these this morning...
Wonderful stuff.. , but gotta single out this one for absolutely contest
winning content.. I laughed outloud.
A similar shot (but without the great expressionon on the woman's face) won1st
place in one of the KINSA's I made the finals in back in the late
70's( or maybe 1980?) Her face belies what she must be saying to the bird.

A large gallery (132 images) of shots from my trip in late March this year.
Some of the shots are there because I am quite pleased with them, others are
there because I think they help to provide a visual travelogue of sorts…
