Last night a friend had a bbq at Seabright beach, across the river
from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. I had left my camera in the car
because I wasn't planning on taking any photos. At one point the
sunset with a lighthouse in the foreground was too picturesque so I
walked the two blocks back to my car to grab my camera. I couldn't
find the K-1, figured that I must have picked up my camera bag, put it
back down again and driven off to work in the morning without it, but
my K-3 was there. I grabbed the K-3 to take some photos, walked back
to East Cliff and my battery was dead.
Later on, the sunset in the other direction was too nice, so I took a
couple of shots with my phone, then went back to the car to see if I
had spare batteries in my telephoto box. No such luck, but in the
process I found my big camera bag. Went back to the picnic with the
K-1, and had just missed the spectacular part of the sunset but still
got a couple of shots.
