A friend who used to live in the Bay Area played at a blues jam at
Montevilla Station (a dive bar in Portland OR). At a weekly swing dance
earlier that night I had run into a couple other dancers also in
Portland from the Bay Area that weekend and one of them told me James
would be there. I had already had plans to meet up with Brenda ( a
friend and dance teacher who lives in PDX) after the dance so we went to
see James. I wasn't planning on taking photos, but my resolve weakened
and I grabbed my camera out of the car.
