Prefer the wide shot
I think that they are both great photos, but very different photos. One
of the wonderful things about post processing is that you are not
restricted to only one version of a single frame.
I love the shape of the intertwined trunks, and could even see the
possibility for a version cropped in so tightly it just included the
portion of the frame with the trunks and tusks, bringing it to nearly an
abstract composition.
