The pictured bird is a subspecies of Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo
sinensis) that has had an almost explosive increase in numbers in the last
decades. From being restricted to a small population in Southern Finland in
the seventies, it is now present all over Scandinavia.
It's the first time I have spotted it by the lake at our cabin, however.
