I would warn those who own tokina at-x macro 90mm f2.5 lenses in pentax k
mount that
the sticky aperture problem I had occurred on a like new sample of the
lens and there was
no visible oil on the blades. my lens went from mint condition to unusable
instantly.
you might want to get rid of those lenses while they work.

This lens is available under a wide variety of brands. I had the Panagor
version.
Didn’t like the long throw and the lens would get so long it would scare
off the critter you were trying to focus on. (Obviously not an issue for
subjects that don’t fly or jump away.

Upgraded from it to a Vivitar Series 1 Bokina and then to the Tokina
version. If it is prone to mechanical issues, maybe I should sell it
while
it is still in mint condition.

Already bought a replacement for my defunct Bokina macro lens. So far,
I'm
very satisfied with the performance, spec, and build quality. Its

ELICAR V-HQ MACRO MC 90mm F2.5 but supposedly its made in Japan by
Komine.
Its a KA mount, has nice multicoatings, and seems to be as sharp as the
Tokina was.
Whats better than the tokina, is this goes directly from infinity to
1:1,
whereas the tokina
required adding an adapter to go from 1:2 to 1:1.
Heres a sample at f9 full size and a crop of full size.
