The 4.5, 6, 7, 9, is recorded in the lenght of the film. You get 15 or 16 frames at 4.5, 12 frames at 6, 10 frames at 7, and 8 frames at 9. For the camera to be able to give you a landscape in 6x4.5 it has to pull the film from top to bottom. The camera I just purchased Fuji GS645, pulls the film right to left, and I get 6x4.5 portrait format negs.
