I have a cheap Slik, tripod. So cheap in fact that they're too
embarrassed to even show them on their website, so they hide it. However
I had acquired three different plates, (also cheap plastic), which was
good because I lose things all the time...
Well you know where this is going. I can't find any of them. Which
renders the damned tripod useless, not that it was a particularly good
tripod, but you could put a camera on it and it would hold it up and not
fall over, well most of the time at least.
So I need a replacement plate, which retails for get this, $11.95! IIRC
I originally paid somewhere between $50 and $60 for the whole damned
tripod, and it currently sells for $44. Sometimes things like this are
so ridiculous that it's unreal.
Crap checking on Amazon you can buy an Amazon Basics Tripod, which i bet
is in all way's equivalent for the cost of two and 1/4 plates.
