rick, it is really easy if you know how :-) easier for me to explain on
the phone while you and I are both looking at the same page..
but basically there is a little sizing thing on the right - at the bottom
I made your photo smaller because on my screen it looks better
here is yours at top size
https://rickwomer.smugmug.com/AMS-to-CDG/Trier/War-and-Peace/i-JgpFJwj/XL
your original file is way too small... I save my files at 300 ppi 18
x 12" 5400 x 3624 (depending on proportions, but I most often like this
aspect ratio)
This is a file of mine at L setting - what I most often use to show
photos to the list..

this isXL

this is original : which I have to reduce by a lot to see on my screen
but is good for them to print from when people buy my work.

and that is so large it goes off the screen even when I shrink the
window to 25%
Give me a call if you want more help -- much easier for me -- I thought
I had your cell number but I cant find it

Thanks, Ann.
Smugmug is frustrating me. That pic takes up about a third of the screen on my
24in monitor. The link you posted occupies less than a tenth of the screen, and
if it were a vertical image it would be tiny.
I =so= much miss the old photo.net…
So if you have some reliable sizing tips, I’d welcome them! The Smugmug
“support heroes” haven’t been particularly heroic.

great looking building.. nice framing..
and since you are in smugmug, I know how to make it smaller so I can see the
whole thing without the tops and bottoms cut off :-)

Trier is a German city of 110,000 people, near the Luxembourg border. It is
reputedly the oldest city in Germany, having been founded by Celts about 300

There has been a lot of restoration work since then. The inscription above the
door translates (roughly):
“Built 1896. Destroyed in war 1945. Rehabilitated and rebuilt 1988.”
Comments appreciated!
