I played with the AF version once. The close focusing distance
of over 5 ft is too far to get a good effect at the 35mm settings.
I have a 35-105mm f/4-5.6F and its close focusing of 4.6 ft. is
a problem too. The newer FA zoom focus down to 1.4ft is joyous
to use at wide angle setting (though ugly looking ;-).

Subject: 35-135 lens

Some years ago Pentax came out with the SF bodies. There were some lenses
released for them. One of them was a 35-135 f3.5-4.5. Was this lens any
good?
I am thinking about getting it to replace my Tokina 28-105 f3.5-4.5. Any one
have some thoughts on this.
