OTOH, while KEH's price for a K-5 (EX condition) is just above $250, that DOES
NOT INCLUDE a battery grip & spare battery ... that would cost another $100 from
KEH.
So I don't think your $300 asking price is out of line. If I wanted & needed a
K-5 *WITH GRIP & EXTRA BATTERY* I'd be willing to pay that much. That's less
than the same combination from KEH would cost me.
If I remember, you have to pay significant premium in import duties & VAT where
you're living. You might get a better price for it locally than you can from
someone here in the U.S. (or even from list members in the UK & EU).
Do y'all have something like Craig's List over there? What about eBay?

So, I gather, Paul, that I stand no chance. For some reason, I thought you
already sold your K-5...
I might as well, buy myself some cheap lens, zoom or prime and make it a
second backup camera, or give it to my daughter, or something.

I see... Well, Ken, K-5 is 3 generations forward from K10D, so I should be
able to get a better price. But it will have to be proven.

Boris, I agree with Peter as to your asking price, at least here in the U
S of A.
I recently sold to KEH, a pristine K-10 with under 3 K shutter
actuations, in the original box with all that came in the box and no signs
of usage at all - they gave me $61 USD ! I had previously advertised it at
$125 and got no response. I only sold it to them cause I have another
backup camera and wanted to clear some things out.

I hear you, Peter.
Sad, but you're probably right.
Ok, wise and venerable people of PDML - make me a fair* offer. I don't
use
this camera and it would be just sad to see it turn into electronic dust.
If you think you would have use for it - please let me know your offer
off
list.

Boris,
I think you want too much for the K-5. KEH.com has several in Ex or
better condition selling for less than $290.00 U.S. and they're giving
a
1 year guarantee, and free shipping, something I wouldn't expect you
to
do.
It's a sad fact that no matter how capable the camera or what condition
it's in, and how well built it is, in the new digital age, after a very
few years it's monetary value approaches zero.
In my humble opinion the capabilities of a K-5, is probably more than
most people really need to make outstanding photographs, and even $300.
is a steal for those capabilities, but the perception is that time has
passed it by.
Heck, just yesterday, I received a replacement K-5 II that I bought
from
KEH.com that cost me less than $270 including sales tax, that looks
like
it's brand new, and, if I can believe the file numbers exiftool gives
me, has slightly less than 2900 shutter actuations. The 1 year
guarantee alone is probably worth 25% of the purchase price.
Bottom line I just don't think you're going to be able to get that much
for yours. Even with the grip, and the other items. I wish that
weren't
true but that's just the way the world works these days.

Still Friday, Still For Sale:
K-5, with original grip, extra battery (also original), magnifying

Slightly more than 20,000 shutter actuations.
How USD 300 sounds, shipping is on me, we split PayPal fees?
