Is it that purple to the naked eye, or is that a product of the colors
blending in the image?

I didn't really notice it, before processing the branches are pretty dim compared to the lights and the color isn't very apparent. I think that the purple (magenta) branches are a product of more red and blue leds than green ones on the strings.
