Positano was our first stop along the Amalfi coast. It is one of the most vertical towns I’ve seen. We drove in from the coast road, parked, and took a long, winding footpath down (and down, and down) to the beach. The path is lined with shops and cafes, but in the “off season” wasn’t terribly busy. Then we went up to the van again, which while high is a long way from the top of the town.
