Thanks, Boris. I can still read a speak a little Russian; 20 years ago I was able to talk to some of the locals in Moscow and St Pete.
If you noticed that my Cyrillic greeting was a bit different, that's because it is in the language of my ancestors, Carpatho-Rusyn, which is a bit more like Church Slavonic than modern Russian.
