My interpretation, is that the footstool being the cage, she could
escape anytime she wished. Which is the case of most "cages" people
find themselves in, in the modern western world. That's one of the
things that makes the image powerful.

I am getting much better at reducing PP. I processed this in Lightroom
only and it was mainly hue shifts for skin tones, and global curve and
level adjustments.
