Severe clear here. 33°F, wind out of the NW at 9 knots - felt like 22° ... or so says the weatherman - I felt like it was 40 below!!!

But I didn't COMPLETELY botch the photos. They look usable from full moon to about 95% eclipsed - nothing I can see there during the totality - and then from about 95% back to the full moon I have usable images again.

My quick glance as I went through them while downloading, I'm not sure if I caught much of the "blood" aspect.

I used a timer to take a photo about every 7 minutes. I ended up moving the tripod & camera a couple of times. The second time I positioned my Jeep as a wind break and sat in it counting minutes until I thought it was getting close to time for the next frame, then getting out to make sure the camera did take the next frame.

I have two Phottix TR-90 timers and used both, switching between them about half-way through because by then my hands were too numb to change the batteries in them.

As soon as I stop shivering I'll get back on the computer and see if I can put together an image adequate for a PESO.

I've concluded that it's not paranoia if they really ARE out to get you.

Sadly, it's pouring rain here so there's no hope of seeing the sky through the
clouds at all. It's a bummer.

Nope! In Philly it’s 15F/ -9C with a howling north wind. So I ‘m a wimp.

I don't know if y'all remember a month or two ago when I was going out of
my
head 'cause I couldn't find the spare batteries for my K-1/K-3. I searched
&
searched and finally ended up going down to my local Pentax Dealer to buy
two
more spare D-Li90 batteries.

This evening I was getting ready to go out and attempt to photograph the
Wolf
moon/Blood moon lunar eclipse. When I went to put the new batteries into
the
pocket in the K-1/K-3 camera bag where I keep the spare batteries SO THAT
I CAN
FIND THEM WHEN I NEED THEM, I found the missing batteries in the pocket.

When I was trying to find the missing batteries last month, I searched
that
pocket multiple times; completely emptying out the bag onto my bed to
assure I
couldn't overlook anything. They were *NOT* in there. Now they are.

I *don't* understand it. But as of 10 minutes ago, I now have FOUR spare
batteries for the K-1/K-3.

Anyone else going to try to photograph the lunar eclipse tonight?
