One of the teenage development runners in our running club brought me a
supposedly non-functional old Fuji FinePIx S5500 4Mp camera. After
repairing the catch on the battery compartment & sourcing a S/H 512Mb CD
card, I was able to get it working. The snag is that, with only 4Mp,
there is no room for cropping & you have to use your feet and/or the
zoom to fill the frame as best you can with the subject. Here is an
example at full zoom (570mm):

No use trying to zoom further because it immediately becomes pixellated.
We are so spoiled with 16Mp & upwards. His mobile 'phone could probably
do better.
