Once had one fly up my trousers in a city office and proceed to sting me on
my thigh: only glad it did not get any higher!
My grandfather used to make them dozy by lighting a very smoky (green leaves
and twigs) fire under the nest, which allowed him to remove and dispose of
it.

Subject: OT: How to kill a wasp nest

After getting my smoker, I have rarely fired up my propane brazier. Last
night I decided to use it. I took the cover off, fired it up and went back
into the house too season some beef. When I went out a few minutes later to
put the burgers on there were a few wasps buzzing around the back of the
barbecue.
By the time I went out to flip them, that number had risen to a dozen or
more, and they seemed a bit angry. As the last time I got stung by a wasp I
was on an IV drip for a week, I asked my wife to bring the meat in.
Apparently, there was a wasp nest in the firebox.......

Have fun

Bill
