Definitely watching, with optimism for a good outcome all around.

We are on the train from Paris 4 October, arriving late morning. Somehow, yet
to be determined, we make our way to LHR vicinity to pick up a rental car,
drive to Shaftsbury where we’ll be staying at the same B&B we used last time.
Sat-Sun-Mon 5-7 Oct we’ll be in that region spending probably half a day with
Meg’s father’s cousin’s widow who lives nearby in Gillingham. Details TBD.
Monday afternoon we’ll drive back to LHR vicinity, drop off the rental car,
stay overnight in a hotel TBD, mid-day departure back to the States on Tuesday.

Still working on what to do when next spring. We arrive via ship in Southampton
early Friday May 1st. Thinking of getting a car, heading to Devon/Cornwall for
a few days, returning to the States 6-7 May. But all of that is still very
open. We’ll be with another couple on the ship, I believe their intention is to
heading London for a few days so we might just wish them well, we might head
that direction ourselves, or we might go with them for the weekend, then out to
the country for a few days. Meg’s father was born in Cornwall so that is the
attraction there, but I have had only a brief exposure to the Lakes District
and might argue for that. As I say, many details to be worked out!
