Interesting article in this weeks New Yorker (10/7/19) about the landscape photographer Thomas Cooper and his “Atlas of Emptiness and Extremity” project.
A quote that gives a sense of the character of his project and way of working: “In setting the parameters of his project, Cooper made a series of vows: to work exclusively outdoors, to make only a single exposure in each place, and to pursue his vision at the expense of all else.” Merely a hint at his extremity. ——————————— Eric Weir Atlanta, GA USA “It has all been combustion.” - W.G.
