That's what the bike is for!! I can see the appeal though, the VW camper / 
surfing vibe.

Having said that, Chris M and I have talked about doing a ride across France 
with Karin and their caravan as the back-up vehicle. Most of my trips across 
France use the train and/or ferry to get to the start. A very civilised way of 
travelling.
