Hi Butch, I'm can't lay my hands on a formula at the moment however I can provide you with a Luminance Table that is printed on my Mamiya Spotmeter the values are for measurements taken at ISO100 (K=14?): EV cd/m2 1 0.28 2 0.56 3 1.1 4 2.2 5 4.5 6 9.0 7 18 8 36 9 72 10 140 11 290 12 570 13 1100 14 2300 15 4600 16 9200 17 18000 18 37000 19 73000 20 150000 21 290000 22 590000 I'm not sure how accurate this table would be applied to another meter however its a starting point I guess, you'll have to find the conversion factor from cd/m2 to LUX of course.
