I've solved this prob by selecting spot focus in the centre of the image, taking the focussing function away from the trigger, and putting it on the AF button. This way, you put the object you want to focus on smack in the centre of the image, push the AF button and then reframe to get the shot you want. Stop down a little and you're usually good for a few shots without having to re-focus each time. Ralf -- Ralf R.
