He's been around for a while. Indirectly he led to me getting a FA 600 f/4.
Responding to a post of his about trying to photograph hummingbirds with a
wobbly tripod I was looking at KEH for sturdy second-hand tripods to recommend.
After I found a few I decided to look at their Pentax lenses before leaving the
site. The FA 600 f/4 was the first lens that popped up.
Knowing I'd probably never get another chance, i jumped on it. But I would have
missed it if I hadn't gone to KEH that morning.

Dale, methinks this is your first post here. Welcome to the group!
I like covered bridges, too, and the photo. Somewhere on my external hard drive
are scores of pix of two covered bridges, one in the Wissahickon park here in
Philly, and the other near Conway, NH.
Is the color of the bridge really that beet-juice shade of red?
Cheers,
Rick

I frequently drive within a few miles of this bridge, but this was my first
visit. It was a gray day, and since the bridge is in a rather narrow creek
valley lighting may be a bit problematic, but I will return in the spring.
There are seven covered bridges left in Virginia, all in the western part of
the state near the Blue Rifhe or in the eastern Alleghenies, and I plan to
photograph all of them. This is without post aside from punching it up a little
to compensate for the gray day.
