Through the generosity of our Pentax rep, we had two HUGE trunks of Pentax
gear to play with at Grandfather Mountain this past weekend. There was too
much to list, but I think there was at least one, and in some cases two or
more of every top of the line piece of Pentax equipment. It included 2 MZ-S
bodies with BG-10 grips, 2 645nII bodies, one 67II body and every imaginable
lens that you could possibly wish for. I got to use the new 33-55mm 645
lens, List Guy spent the weekend fondling the 67II. Cesar decided not to
tempt himself, but did use the 67II for a bit. I would like to have tried
the 600/4.0 ED/IF on the MZ-S, but would have to have sold the house if
anything were to happen to it

Actually, it was the 645nII that I shot a roll of on the last day. I did
not want to see the film go to waste :') I have to think about which lenses
I tried on it. I believe one was the 120 f/4 macro and then Tom's 35mm.
In the 35mm venue I did get to try the 250-600 FA* 5.6 zoom, FA* 300 f/2.8,
200 f/4 FA* macro, 43 f/1.9 Limited, 31 f/1.8 Limited, and Doug's FA 35 f/2.
All in all a great time to check out stuff. I did not even have time to try
Tom's FA* 85 f/1.4 or ask Mark to check out his FA* 24 f/2.
I only had my screwmount gear out the first couple of days. I plan to put
up a shot of that gear on display when I get some shots scanned from the
weekend.
Oh yeah, I did handle the 67II with the 400 f/4 ED (IF). Talk about a
workout!
More later, hopefully with scans,
