We had 155mm overnight - a new 24hr record. The whole central & NE part of SA was affected by this weather system which is set to persist for a couple of days yet. All the major easterly flowing rivers should be in flood in a few days. Good for the half-empty dams too. The Mossie eggs, larvae & pupae are all heading for the Indian Ocean. It seems that Modjadji, the Rain Queen, has had some success at last.
