Neither Google nor Yahoo play well with others.
There weren't any other messages in PDML for a while. Usually if the drought is
not prolonged, I won't worry about it, but then I wasn't even getting "SPAM" in
my regular (non-PDML) inbox (Amazon, Egghead, several photography sites who on
rare occasions have news of interest).
Based on my experience with my providers I thought I'd better check.
Thank you and thanks to all the other PDML subscribers who provided feedback.
I was going to mention the jury-rigged/jerry-rigged nature of my current email
setup but I learned something interesting when I looked them up before writing.
Jury-rigged and jerry-rigged are not quite the same thing. Jury-rigged is
"something rigged up temporarily with materials on hand, often in an ingenious
manner" (think MacGyver), while jerry-rigged has negative connotations of
something poorly built (think Homer Simpson).
