Alan, Thank you, you are a master of tact. > > Datura or Thornapple as it is known here (because of the seedpods) is an > agricultural pest in Maizelands. Perhaps some would like the effect?. It’s also known as jimsonweed, but that is a different species than this. I first ran across the name thornapple in a wonderful book called “The Blackthorn Key” by Kevin Sands. It’s a historical fiction about an apothecary apprentice set in 1665 London. It’s aimed at at 12-15 year olds, but I absolutely loved the way he wove the story around both historical and scientific fact, and as he described things, using words I wasn’t familiar with, I would recognize what he was doing, and have to check up on the new words to find out that they were indeed things I knew about. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23270216-the-blackthorn-key I just recently found that there is now a whole series and picked up a few more books in the series, but haven’t had a chance to read them yet. https://www.goodreads.com/series/174324-the-blackthorn-key > > Alan C > > On 07-Mar-20 01:14 PM, Larry Colen wrote: >> https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/49629911776/in/album-72157713392878196/ >> >> Using my flash on a cable to get some phtotos at night. >> >> https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/49629911776/in/album-72157713392878196/ >> >> camellia >> https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/49630155582/in/album-72157713393948713/ >> >> -- >> Larry Colen >> [email protected] >> >> >> >> > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. > -- Larry Colen [email protected] -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
