Yes it was quite exciting for him.
It was a complete surprise.
A few minutes before the appointed time (#:)) PM), his father brought him
out to shoot baskets on the backboard and net installed in their driveway.
When the first car came by, blowing its horn, he was shocked to see some of
his friends hanging out the windows and waving.
After the cars (about 30) came the parade of fire equipment.
