For some reason, I wanted to upload my Mini Iris image to my gallery on the Pentax Photo Gallery.
When I tried to upload it from my MAC laptop, I got an error message: "Not a Pentax Camera." WTF? That's all I use, except for my iPhone, and this was not an iPhoto. I checked the image info and, sure enough, no mention of the camera used. I went to the original DNG file, and the info was there. I uploaded the raw file to PS, and it first went to LR, which is fine, but then PS would only let me save the edited image as a psd file, which the PPG will not accept. I converted the psd file to jpg, and again, all camera info was wiped out. After several frustrating attempts to solve or work aroung the problem, in desperation I emailed the DNG file to myself, downloaded it onto my PC, and opened it there with PSE 9. No problem; I could save it as a jpeg directly from PSE9, and all the camera infor was preserved. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on here? I am 99% positive that I uploaded the other images from that card, also in DNG format, to PS on my Mac, and everything worked fine. but not this image; not today.
